Millbrook were first on the scoreboard, but by half time it was 18 – 12 to us thanks to tries from James Hammond and Will Marsh and a penalty and a conversion from Mark Hammond. Millbrook got a converted try in the second half to take a 18 – 19 lead, but we got the final score with a try from Will Wildman in the last ten minutes to secure the 23 – 22 win. They don’t come any closer.
Prior to the match there was an immaculately observed minute’s silence from the players and the spectators on the touchline in memory of Rob Burrows.
