First round league Fixtures Results

Fordingbridge U12’s first league games in the new London - Irish League has proved to a day of mixed fortunes. They played four matches against Winchester, Alton, Reading Abbey 1 and Marlborough.

Our first match proved to be an eye opener for The bridge team which saw a strong Winchester side run in Four tries before bridge could reply the match was over.

Our guest coaches ‘ Dave Timms’ & Jonny Dossitt, worked hard on the side and this saw a great response from the players and they worked hard as a unit, to beat a good Alton side 2 – 0.

Our next match saw our players raise their game to even higher standards despite losing an early try to Reading Abbey 1, they fought tooth and nail to get the equaliser Reading defending stoutly held on for the win,

Our final match against Marlborough proved to be the same we had conceded an early try and again fought hard to get back into the game brought an amazing defensive display form them and held on again for the win.

Despite these results the amazing shows of effort and commitment shown by the entire squad proves to the coaches that the good work the players do each Sunday is starting to pay off and our season goals of success at the Hampshire Tournament is not out of reach.

Thanks to Dave, Jonny & Jordan for their support and commitment to the cause today your support is very much appreciated.
