Next up was Bournouth Tigers which prooved a very tough match. Both teams came close on a number of occassions but defensive play was outstanding with Bournemouth preventing a couple of breakaway tries by Jack S with some very timely tackles. However, the deadlock was broken right at the end by Tommy with a cracking run and pass outside to the wing who returned it back to Tommy to barge his way through for a great try. Final score 1-0 to Fordingbridge.

One team failed to show so we had a bye in that.

Next up was Cowbridge from South Wales. They were, quite, simply, suberb. I think it's fair to say that Fordingbridge were completely overwhelmed by Cowbridge who won 8-0.

At the end of the Group matches we were second and made it to the Plate playoffs where we were up against Salisbury. Fordingbridge made a great start With 2 tries from Jaspar B and a try by Josh saw us 3-1 up at half time. Unfortunately Salisbury played a blinder in the second half and eventually they ran out 4-3 winners.

Cowbridge went on the win the Cup against Ealing 1-0. I reffed this game and I have never seen such controlled, aggresive rubgy from 2 teams like this before. It was fantastic game with 2 evenly matched squads. What was quite remarkable is that in Wales at U10 they play uncontested Scrums - you'd never have known it watching the game!

Salisbury won the plate after a 0-0 draw with Bournemouth A by virtue of more tries scores in the countback.

Well done to the Fordingbridge U10's for some great rugby and a big thankyou to all the parents for helping out. I certainly enjoyed it! OUR DAY WILL COME TOMMY!
