Fordingbridge ladies help US Portsmouth in a 10s touch friendly

The game was a 40 minute game, with uncontested scrums and non-lifting line outs. The aim of the game was to progress the ladies on a bit from the touch series we are all involved in. In the first half it was 10 a-side and the second half was 12 a-side.

US Portsmouth/Fordingbridge put up a good fight in the first half, holding Fareham Hags in their own half for the majority of the time. The Hags managed to get past the defence on the wing and ran down the wing to score their first try. In the second time the teams struggled with having 12 players each on the pitch and a couple of times US Portsmouth/Fordingbridge lost structure in the line. Fareham Hags managed to break through the line again and scored their second try.

In the last quarter of the game, Sarah Gorman (a Fordingbridge ladies player) managed to break through The Hags line and score the only try for the US Porsmouth/Fordingbridge team.

The afternoon was good fun and a lot was learnt by all. Thanks to Fareham Heathens for hosting and to US Portsmouth for letting us Fordingbridge ladies join in the fun!
