Amazing first outing for the ladies!

This was the first tournament for the Fordingbridge Ladies this year. Due to an increase in popularity this season the ladies now have a full team that can go to tournaments. The first game against Andover was a big learning curve for two of the ladies, as this was there first ever game. You would never have known, as they kept the defensive line as well as any, experienced player. Theresa Jones had some very close calls on the wing but unfortunately was touched just before the try line. The first match ended 0-0.
After a short break the ladies were back on again against this years New Forest Baas Baas, made up of Ellingham and Ringwood and Tottonians. It was expected to be a harder game as they had 11 to choose from for a 6 a-side game and Fordingbridge only had 7, but the ladies fought on and managed to secure another 0-0 draw.
The last game was against Fareham Heathens, again the ladies were outnumbered as Fareham had a whole set of new legs for both halves but Fordingbridge ploughed on. Unfortunately due to a slight break in the ladies defensive line Fareham managed to get through and score a try and we lost the game 0-1. Despite this the ladies can draw many positives from their first outing as they look forward to the next tournament.
