'Bridge out rucked as they go down to Swanage & Wareham

Having a couple of players away at the County Trials and another few missing due to injury, 'Bridge could only muster 12 against a Swanage & Wareham team who had also given a number of players the Sunday off. However, the visitors still managed to bring a healthy squad of 18 to the Rec and so, having borrowing a couple of u14s and an u16, 'Bridge managed to bring their numbers up to the required level and the match kicked off.

It wasn't long before S&Rs superior rucking skills became apparent and from similar situations they soon managed to score 3 tries before the match was very old. 'Bridge upped their game and it became a much more competitive event but S&R managed another try before the first half was out.

The second half was keenly fought but once again, the ruck became the main battle ground with S&R winning more of the spoils and they succeeded in running in a further three tries before the day was done. Both teams ended with 14 on the pitch but it remained competitive till the end with the edge of Alex's boot separating him from a deserved home try.
