Numbers at a premium, but heart in plentiful abundance.

With another mixed bag of availability, it was not a surprise that this second team, needed time to gel. This was evident as they were down by 15 points within the first 10 minutes.

Inspirational skipper Dave Gogin was not available due to an over exuberant injury skiing the previous week, and the team called in James Robinson and his butler to help fulfill the fixture.

Salmon sandwiches aside this team performed out of their skins, continually pressing the Dockers side who normally attack with ease, into their own half, and dominating the scrum which has become par for the course. A new look back row of veteran Chris Spain who 'WAS in an Armchair' all afternoon, ably assisted by the 'dynamic' pair of Jon Vass and George Roche they proved to be a thorn in the Dockers side all afternoon.

With stand in skipper Michael Parry, passing the vocal duties to Philip 'ra ra' Collier, it needed a Tom Madgwick penalty to register the first points for this new look Fordingbridge side with a well struck penalty.

With many errors by both sides the strong 'bridge pack upped their anti, forcing the dockers into mistakes, which they gratefully received, Sam Hawker, who has been MIA for many years returned with siege like presence scoring two fantastic tries, which many a team would be proud of.

Alex Sanders, in flying form, was chopping down his opponents at source, and weighed in with a great individual try. Tim Beer, felled his opponent at every opportunity, with Will Frampton supporting on the inside at every opportunity.

With the backs showing the way forward, it was left to youngster George 'the Rock' Roche to power over for a well taken forwards try.

With the scores within 2 points 'bridge couldn't get into the position for a drop goal or penalty, despite the influence and controlling figure of Josh 'so positive' Goodchild, who took the game to many of his ex teammates!!

All in all, it was decided that despite the mixture of a team, an enjoyable afternoon was had by all, and hopefully we can ecncourage, a few more players to attend next week, where we entertain Oakmedians, who we had one of our best performances against earlier in the season.

Get your availability in early. Stick to it. Shopping can wait!
