A home debut for Will Timms who was making his first start in senior rugby alongside his proud dad David Timms, inspired his troops in a complete all round display, his passing was crisp and he connected very well with his number 8 partner Keith Walsh which resulted in Fordingbridge being on the front foot for much of the match.
The performance was far from polished, but the signs are there in that once this team start playing together regularly that they will be a force to be reckoned with.
Ben Bealey another making his debut for the senior team was everywhere tackling his more experienced counterparts on or behind the gain line, which resulted in a lot of turnover ball.
Tries came from Stuart Fisher and James Suswain, who despite their size foraged their way towards the whitewash. Both conversions were misssed but we did add a penalty kicked by James Suswain.
This was another game played by both teams in the correct spirit, which despite the score had both teams coming off the pitch with a smile on their face.
Another week off. But the next game will be against a physical Swanage Team.
