Fordingbridge 2nd XV - strengthened by the inclusion of James Hammoond, and with Tim Brittan having his first game after a long lay-off through injury – gave the Dorset & Wilts 2 South leaders, East Dorset, a hard game before going down 32-8.
The Fordingbridge points came from a Rob Holbrook try and a Josh Goodchild penalty but could have been more and there were promising signs for the rest of the season.
