We travelled down to the heart of Bournemouth to take on unbeaten league leaders Oakmeadians.
Despite a valiant effort from us in a great game of rugby we suffered a narrow loss by 9 points, just failing to secure a losing bonus point.
A try from evergreen Dave Gogin (apparently stolen, again, from under the noses of a number of other team mates who could have scored) and a conversion and three penalties from Mark Hammond were not enough to beat a formidable Oaks team.
The 2's entertain Poole at the Rec. next weekend in a home double header with the 1's hosting the Isle of Wight.
