On a day when the 1st XV faced league unbeaten champions United Services and the 2nd XV played their last game in Dorset & Wilts, I was privileged enough to witness brilliant performances from both teams.
Congratulations to Harry for leading a determined and talented 1st team beating United Services 22-5 in their only defeat of the season.
A perfect end to a solid season and a respectable entry into the newly formed Hampshire Premiership next season. Well done to all the players and a big thank you to David Gogin and Edd Douglas for their coaching and support.
I know that Ian Brown is extremely proud of a quality team that can compete at the top end of the Hampshire leagues.
Congratulations also to Jake Kostelyk for leading a second team to a 89-0 victory over Swanage & Wareham and for finishing a respectable third in the table before moving to Hampshire division 4 next year.
It was great to see so many younger players involved and it promises great things for both teams in their new leagues next season.
